Good comments from solo yachtswoman Dame Ellen MacArthur on the BBC Radio 4 programme ‘Desert Island Discs’. She describes how when you’re on a boat the resources are finite so you have to make them last or you’re in deep trouble.
Her ambition now is to try to find a way of living the same sustainable existence on land that she lives at sea.
